Woman killed in collision with lorry

A 20-year-old woman died in a collision near Richhill earlier today (Thursday, January 28).

The woman was a passenger in a car that collided with a lorry on the Legacorry Road at around 3.35pm.

Another woman who was driving the car was ferried to hospital with what are believed to be ‘very serious’ injuries.

The Legacorry Road has been closed between the Stonebridge Road roundabout and the entrance to Castle Drive.

Police have asked that motorists seek an alternative route.

DUP MLA WIlliam Irwin said the crash happened about half a mile from the village at a very bad bend.
