Woman notcovered for car

Amabile De Silva Veronneze, Toberhewny Hall, Lurgan, was also fined £250 and given a £15 offenders’ levy.

The court heard she was stopped at 4pm while driving on Toberhewny Lane Lower and asked for her driving documents.

She produced insurance but it had expired on May 10. She said her aunt was due to renew it.

She had two different insurance policies, neither of which covered her to drive the vehicle.

A solicitor said she was now insured as a named driver on her aunt’s insurance policy. She did have temporary cover which had expired.
