Fines of £50 were imposed on charges of failing to stop, failing to remain and failing to report an accident.

The court heard that at the overflow car park at Tannaghmore Gardens an independent witness saw a car drive into the rear of another vehicle.

The car failed to stop and left the scene.

Police called with the defendant and noticed damage to the bumper of her vehicle.

She admitted hitting the other car and said she had been distracted by her son in the rear seat. It cost £1,000 to repair the damage.

Crosswaite, who pleaded guilty herself in the court, said she agreed with the version of events she had heard in court and added that she had just panicked.
