Woman racially abused and foot stood on

Police in Lurgan are appealing for witnesses to the assault at a fast food restaurant in Edward Street which was reported on June 18.

It was reported that at around 4.30pm, a woman who was in the restaurant with her two children, was targeted by a male who racially insulted her, pushed her and stood on her foot.

The woman was not physically injured as a result of the incident but was left badly shaken.

Constable Dunlop is the investigating officer and has appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact officers in Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 1088 18/06/16. Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
