Woman receives treatment after house fire

A woman had to receive oxygen therapy following a house fire in New Mossley.

Commenting on the incident which occurred on Tuesday afternoon, a Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “NIFRS responded to a report of a fire at an end-terraced house at Ballyearl Drive. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet to put out a saucepan fire. A 22-year-old woman received oxygen therapy from FRS for mild smoke inhalation at the scene. The cause of the fire appeared accidental. Fire crews from Glengormley and Westland stations attended the incident.”
