Woman rescued from car after collision

Firefighters used cutting equipment to rescue a woman following a road traffic collision on Sunday, March 5.

The Times understands the incident occurred at approximately 5:15pm in Carnlough.

Detailing the incident, a Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) spokesperson said: “NIFRS responded to a single car RTC at Drumnagreagh Road, Ballygalley, Carnlough.

“Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release a 51-year-old woman from the vehicle. She received oxygen therapy from FRS at the scene.

“A 52-year-old man was out of the car on arrival of FRS. Fire crews from Carnlough and Larne stations attended the incident.”
