Woman sexually assaulted on Belfast to Larne train
Police are investigating after a woman reported being sexually assaulted on a train travelling from Great Victoria Street to Larne on the evening of January 4.
“As the train approached Whitehead at around 5pm the woman alleges that a man sitting beside her in the middle carriage sexually assaulted her,” explained Constable Ricky Shaw.
“The suspect then got off the train at Whitehead.
“Anyone who was on the train and could help police with their enquiries is asked to contact us on the non-emergency number 101.
“Alternatively information can be passed on anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
