Woman stabbed in assault in Rosemount

Detectives are investigating the assault on the woman who is in her thirties, which occurred in the Creggan Road area.

Shortly before 5am it was reported that the woman was assaulted in the area. She was taken to hospital for treatment for a number of stab wounds to her abdomen and bruising to her face. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A 36 year old man arrested in connection with an assault has been bailed pending further enquiries.
