Diane Martin (44), Gilford Road, Lurgan, was fined £120 and banned for 12 months for driving with excess alcohol on February 21 this year. On completion of a course for drink driving the ban would be reduced by three months.

The defendant failed a roadside test and at the police station an evidential sample gave a reading of 49 - the limit is 35.

A barrister for the defendant said that she had been at a funeral and at a function in the evening had consumed three or four drinks. She thought she was fit to drive home which was a big mistake.
