Woman treated for facial burns in Coleraine

A woman was treated for facial burns at the scene of a domestic incident in Coleraine on Wednesday night.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said:

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 7:14pm to a report of a fire at residential premises at the Rope Walk area of Coleraine yesterday evening (Wednesday 4th November).

“Two Fire Appliances from Coleraine Fire Station and one from Portstewart Fire Station were deployed to the scene. A woman was treated at the scene by Firefighters for facial burns using gel kits.

“The female was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to her injuries.

“Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service finished at the scene at 7:43pm, and the fire is being treated as accidental.”
