Womanaccused of providing false alibi

A 28 year old Lurgan woman has been charged with perverting the course of justice by providing an alibi in the David Black murder case.

Appearing at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Wednesday was Fiona McFadden of Killough Gardens.

A Detective Constable said he believed he could connect the defendant with the charge.

Mr Black, a prison officer, was shot dead on the M1 in November, 2012.

McFadden was remanded on her own bail of £400 to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Friday. At the request of her solicitor McFadden was excused from attending on Friday. The conditions of her bail are that she reside at her home address and is banned from having direct or indirect contact with two named individuals, Damien McLaughlin and Sean McVeigh.
