Woman's car hit by pellet gun

A LISBURN woman was left in a state of shock after her car was attacked while she was travelling along the Knockmore Road at the weekend.

The female motorist heard a loud bang as she was heading in the direction of the lights onto the Prince William Road.

She continued to drive not knowing what had happened and it wasn't until she reached her home that she realised her car had been hit by something.

On closer examination, she discovered a dent in her car door leading her to believe that someone had fired either a pellet gun or thrown a large stone which dented the driving side door.

She believes someone deliberately attacked her car and that she is lucky that she wasn't hit herself.

Alderman Cecil Calvert has condemned the incident saying that the lady could have been hurt.

He believes youths could be responsible.

"This lady was left shocked after the incident. I appeal to parents of youths to be on the look out and know what their children are up to. This is very serious and could have been a lot worse."
