Women acknowledged at Willowbank event

THIRTEEN local women from Antiville and Craigyhill have been presented with certificates after completing a personal development scheme through LEDCOM.

The 10-week training course was part of an overall programme of support in the area funded by the community foundation for Northern Ireland (CFNI) under the IFI Communities in transition programme.

“Money matters and IT were also popular topics as well healthy eating, where the session was delivered at the Prom Cafe.”

Clare McCaughey from the Antiville Women’s Support Group was a participant on the programme and said: “I really enjoyed all aspects of the course and learned a lot. The trainers were all brilliant and made us feel very comfortable. One of the highlights for me was the fun session at Lulabelles House”.

The women were presented with their certificates at Willowbank by Deputy Mayor of Larne, Councillor Mark McKinty, who congratulated them all on their achievements.
