Women held up by armed robber

DETECTIVES in Lisburn are appealing for information following an armed robbery at bookmakers on the Stewartstown Road, Dunmurry last Thursday morning.

At 9.15am a female employee arrived at the premises and was approached by a male person with a firearm in his possession.

A second female employee arrived and the man forced them to open the shop. Once inside he demanded cash which was put in a plastic bag.

The robber then made off on foot with the cash.

He is described as being in his early 30s, 5ft 5in tall and was wearing a black Manchester United cap, a black jacket, light blue jeans and black trainers with black laces with yellow spots and stripes. He spoke with a local accent.
