Women of the Year deadline

The deadline for nominating people for the Women of the Year awards is Friday, December 31.

Women who have a minimum of two full year’s permanent residence within the Derry City Council area or have been in permanent employment or study course for a minimum of two years within this area. Nominee must be over 18 years old.

All entries must be sent to Women’s Officer, Derry City Council, Development

Department, 98 Strand Road, Derry, BT48 7NN.

Entries must be received on or before 12pm on Friday to qualify.

The 14 categories are: Women’s Community Development; Community Relations; Health; Enterprise; Community Safety; Arts; Formal/Informal Education; Older People; Youth; Childcare; Caring; Contribution to the Trade Union Movement sponsored by Unison; Young Women’s Award (must be aged 18 to 25 years old), and Women living with a Disability.
