Work at 'blackspot' is praised: Council

BALLYMONEY councillors have praised Roads Service for improving an accident "blackspot" at the Kirk Road at Ballyrobin.

The work cost 300,000 and there were sight line improvements at the Kirk Road/Bellisle Road junction.

Ballymoney Mayor, Cllr Frank Campbell (DUP), said the junction was a “blackspot” but has been transformed into “a very good piece of road”.

SDLP councillor Harry Connolly also welcomed the work.

Roads Service officer Malcolm Glover thanked councillors for the remarks.
