Work gets started on new library building for Moira

Work has started on a new library for Moira, Libraries NI has announced

The library has been closed to the public from Monday, January 5.

The new library will open to the public in early summer 2015 and will provide a modern, attractive and welcoming library for the people of Moira and the surrounding area.

For the duration of the building work a temporary mobile library service will be in operation for borrowing and returning of books. The mobile library vehicle will be located at: Rawdon Place (just off Meeting Street)

The service will operate on alternate Wednesdays from 2pm–4pm and 10am–4pm.

It will also call at Castlevue Gardens (off Blackwood Road) on Thursdays 10am–4pm.

Libraries NI apologises for any inconvenience and would like to remind you that books and other items can be borrowed from and returned to any library.

Lisburn City Library. t: 028 9263 3350 - Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am-5pm; Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm; closed

Lurgan Library. t: 028 3832 3912 - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9am to 5pm; Tuesday 9am to 8pm and closed Sunday.

Books can be renewed online.
