The centre really is a great example of the amazing, life-changing work carried out in our communities with National Lottery funding.”
The Bogside & Brandywell Health Forum is a healthy living centre which has pioneered community-led health improvement since 2001. It’s tasked with bringing together many different groups and agencies in order to enhance the health and well-being of the people that reside in the community.
The project has won a £2,000 cash prize to spend on their project, as well as a glittering trophy.
National Lottery players raise a life-changing £30 million a week for Good Causes across the UK and The National Lottery Awards recognise the positive impact that Lottery-funded projects make to local communities using this money. There are seven categories in the Awards that reflect the main areas of Lottery funding: arts, sport, heritage, health, environment, education and voluntary/charity.
