The Housing Executive’s Craigavon manager, Loma Wilson described these schemes as a major boost for local residents and a step towards the Executive’s goal to improve energy efficiency and health and safety in homes across Northern Ireland.

“This significant investment is a further demonstration of our commitment to our tenants in the Lurgan/Brownlow area. The heating scheme will replace their old, inefficient systems with modern efficient and cleaner gas systems and the fire doors will add to the safety of our tenants living in flats,” said Ms Wilson.

“Both Contractors HEAT and Bann Ltd have extensive experience in carrying out this type of work, liaising with individual tenants and the Housing Executive to achieve the high standards set and expected,”

Trish Whiteway, from HEAT welcomed the work. She said, “We have worked with the Housing Executive to complete these improvement works to the highest possible standard and with the minimum of disruption. The feedback we have received is that tenants are delighted to have these new energy efficient heating systems in their homes especially after the recent winters that we experienced.”
