Work set to start on Dickson MUGA

Councillor Carla Lockhart said she was delighted that “legalities” had now been overcome and it was “full steam ahead”.

She continued, “I am delighted that the work by council to construct the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) will commence within the next couple of weeks.

“I am delighted that a contractor has been appointed and that this much needed facility will be delivered for the good people of Mourneview, the Grey Estate and the Hospital Estate. I believe this facility will be in invaluable to the young people of the area and will add to the already upgraded play park located at the community centre.

“For too long young people have not been afforded the facilities they deserve and I am delighted to have worked with the community group to bring about this project.”
