Minister Kennedy said: “The scheme will complement the recently completed repairs on Sandelford Bridge and benefit road users on this important trunk route for many years to come by providing an improved running surface through the use high quality surfacing materials.”

To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses, the works will be carried out using night time road closures. Diversions via the old Bann Bridge will be signed during the closure period.

The works have been carefully programmed in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however motorists are advised to allow a little extra time for their journey if travelling at night.

It is expected that the works will be substantially completed by Saturday 9 August.
