Speaking at the awards Brian said the award represents the positive contribution all the businesses within the Workspace group make to the pursuit of sustainability, one of its key long terms goals.

“I know the great efforts all our staff make to ensure the high environmental bar we set for ourselves is met on an ongoing basis, and it is important to see these great efforts acknowledged not just in Northern Ireland, but right across the UK,” he said.

Mark Nodder, President of Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce explained that the Chamber Awards are considered one of the UK’s most hotly contested and prestigious business awards and provide the perfect platform for local businesses to establish themselves on a local and national stage.

“We are delighted that The Workspace Group has received the recognition and profile they deserve by seeing off competition from a number of firms across Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales – whilst becoming the first Northern Ireland winner in the awards’ ten year history,” he said.

And he added: “The Workspace Group shows what can be achieved with a strong management team with a clear vision and a desire to be sustainable in the way it delivers its services. It is companies such as The Workspace Group who will play a crucial role in helping the economy move from being good, to being great in the months and years ahead.”
