World host training for staff

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council in association with Tourism NI is offering world host training for frontline staff in the tourism and hospitality sector to learn all about our local food and drink produce.

The World Host Food Ambassador programme will equip staff with the knowledge they need to allow them to passionately spread the word about our amazing produce, chefs and restaurants and sell the region as a ‘foodie destination’. The training is being rolled out as part of Northern Ireland’s year of Food and Drink. It will be delivered over a half-day session, developed by Tourism NI, People 1st and Food NI/Taste of Ulster.

The training will use experiential learning and include a wide range of food and drink tasting. It will bring staff up to speed on all that is happening in the growing food and drink industry and ultimately equip staff with the confidence and knowledge they need to tell the stories of our local produce.
