Worm pet dogs, council urges
Carrickfergus Borough Council is aiming to educate residents about the dangers of irresponsible dog ownership.
Anyone can come forward to the local authority’s Enforcement Team with details of dog owners who fail to clean up after their dogs.
The council is also working with local businesses to offer dog worming advice and is finalising details of a joint initiative with a number of vets. In the meantime, dog owners can pick up worming tablets and advice from a number of local veterinary practices including Vets 4 Pets and Farmhill Veterinary Clinic.
