WW1 history book launch

‘Where the Brave will Live Forever’ takes a nostalgic look at the WW1 battlefields of the Western Front from a local perspective.

Local author of this historical book, Ronnie Harkness, has visited over a hundred sites where so many servicemen have their final resting place. Following a series of nine carefully selected routes through northern France and Belgium, the book records the history of all the major battles and cemeteries in the European theatre of conflict from 1914-18 and it illustrates, in simple terms, how to find the grave of a loved one.
