Yarnspinners night

FOYLE Yarnspinners will start up again, next Monday, September 6, after the summer break,

After a very exciting relaunch of the Club in June, the future of the organisation is much anticipated. The full house in June augurs well for events now which will happen on the first Monday of every month.

Also since the relaunch the city has been awarded the title of City of Culture and the Foyle Yarnspinners will play their part in the build-up to this great occasion.

All such art skills are now to be cherished and promoted. The September gathering will be highlighted by the visit of Ian Coulter from County Tyrone. This fine storyteller has been the guest of the Yarnspinners on previous occasions. This promises to be a big nights craic.

October 4 will showcase all local yarnspinners and many other star spots. These will be a mixture of George Murphy, Jimmy McEldowney, Paddy McCartney and Madeline McCully. And, October will feature Fermanagh man Declan Forde-a night not to be missed. The year will finish with the local people on December 6 and within all these meetings will be a lot of surprises. Get along and enjoy!

The next meeting will take place on October 6 at 8pm in the Verbal Arts Centre.
