'˜Year of the Monkey' marked at Carrickfergus venues
Carrickfergus joined in Chinese New Year celebrations with family-fun programme in the Town Hall.
Volunteers from the award-winning ArtsEkta entertained members of the community who also had the opportunity to learn more about aspects of Chinese culture.
Younger revellers enjoyed making kites and having their faces painted.
‘The Year of the Monkey’ was also marked at Victoria Primary School Nursery Unit with the appearance of a Chinese dragon proving particularly popular.
