Yobs go on pot plant rampage

Police are investigating several incidents of criminal damage, believed to be linked, in the Kells, Randalstown and Antrim areas.

The incidents occurred in the Clonkeen Road and Artlone Road in Randalstown and in the Craigstown Road and Fernisky Road area of Kells between 10pm on Saturday 18 June and 11am on Sunday 19 June. .

All the properties targeted stood well back off the road and damage was caused to plants, plant pots, ornamental lights and walls.

Sergeant Paul Whiteside said: “I would appeal to anyone who has witnessed any suspicious activity in these areas to contact Antrim Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 615 of 19/06/16.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
