Young People Fight Anti Social Behaviour in Ballymoney

That Night - a new though provoking educational DVD, was launched in Cheers Youth Centre by Ballymoney Community Safety Partnership last week. ‘That Night’ aims to educate young people, particularly the 13 – 18 year old age group about the realities of anti-social behaviour & knife crime.

The project was commissioned by Ballymoney Community Safety Partnership with Support from Cheers Youth Centre and the NEELB. BEAM Creative Network produced the DVD with young people from across the Borough designing the overall concept for the DVD, which included creating its distinctive title & identity, scripting and acting.

Cathy Watson, Community Safety Manager, said: “The ‘That Night’ project has given young people the opportunity to make a positive contribution around an issue that can affect people in our communities. They have put a huge amount of work and emotion into the project to produce something that they can be really proud of.”
