Youth and Sunday School Fun Day

IT was fun all the way on Saturday last, May 12, for the third Derry and Donegal Youth and Sunday School Fun day.

The event has now become a highlight in the Presbytery’s calendar under the leadership of Rev Mark Shaw.

This year the venue was the Royal and Prior School in Raphoe.

The sun shone as hundreds of children and young people gathered along with parents and grandparents. It was a fun filled day with activities to suit all ages all of which were included in the entrance fee of £2/€2: bouncy castle, bungee run, carousel, shark slide, face painting, laser quest, puppet show, sumo wrestling, art and crafts.

There was a Euro 2012 themed football tournament on the astro turf.

A team of volunteers served complimentary tea/coffee, scones and traybakes in the canteen, all of which was provided by the Sunday Schools in attendance. Ice cream and hot food were also available and there was a tuck shop.

It was a great day, enjoyed by all who were there.
