Youth centre has lots to offer

Banbridge Youth Centre has once again opened its doors to young people across the district for 2014!

The club is currently offering free membership for the entire year and there are lots of events and activities happening over the next year.

The centre is currently looking to rebrand and are asking young people to come up with a new logo; there is an amazing top prize for the winner.

Banbridge Youth Centre is based on Hill Street, known locally as Ballymoney Hill.

Young people are invited to come and use the facilities within the centre.

The centre is a warm, safe and welcoming environment for all young people in the community.

Monday night is Senior Youth Club, with opportunities to get involved in specific project work which can help confidence, self-esteem, making new friends, build on your qualifications and much more.

The centre also has football and other sporting activities, computer games, internet, trips, residentials and so much more.

If you are aged 11-plus please come down on a Monday night, your first night will be free and if you want to come back an evening of fun and entertainment is only 50 pence per night. The club opens at 7pm and finishes at 9pm.

Wednesday nights are open for projects and football, starting January 15; this is a mixed aged group so those from 8–12 and 12–16 are invited to get involved.

This starts from 7pm–8.30pm. The football runs from 6.30pm–8pm.

Thursday nights are Junior Youth Club this is for all 8–12 year olds, all boys and girls welcome. The junior night is from 6.30pm–8.30pm.

There are lots of friendly staff and volunteers who will be doing lots of different activities including, arts and crafts, cookery, football, games, discos, computers, Nintendo Wii, monthly trips, mind craft, fancy dress, Christmas party and much more. The membership is totally free and only 50 pence per night so it is great value for money.

The centre will be starting pool/snooker/table tennis/football heats at the Senior Youth Club, startingthis week, top prizes and a chance to play other young people from different clubs and towns.

There is so much to do and be involved in. Please come along as they also have a trip every month and both junior and senior residentials coming up in February and May!
