Youths damaged car and pelted house

The police did not identify the area of Ballymena in which the anti-social behaviour took place but said they had received reports of a car being damaged and stones and rotten fruit being thrown at a house.

Police are asking parents and community leaders to help bring an end to incidents of this type.

Inspector Heather Scott said: “Anti-social activity of this kind is totally unacceptable and residents should not be subjected to this sort of behaviour. I would continue appeal to parents to ensure that they know where their children are, who they are with and most importantly what they are doing. Anyone involved in this type of behaviour could get a criminal record. This may then have long term implications on their future education, chances of employment and also if they wish to travel abroad.”
