Youths on school roof

RECENT attacks on property in the Armoy area have promoted police to call on parents to keep an eye on their children.

Property belonging to two churches was targeted and on Wednesday of last week, youths were seen climbing on to the roof of Armoy Primary School and throwing things on to the playground.

There were no reports of any damage, but the potential was there, according to Inspector Bryan Hume.

He said: “Three young people were involved and were spoken to by police. They did not realise they were trespassing,” the Inspector said before urging parents to keep an eye on the whereabouts of their children.
