Zach throws a ‘Lidl’ party for his pals at Garryduff Primary School

IF Garryduff pupil Zach is the most popular person in his school, it’s hardly surprising.

For when the six-year-old won a competition organised by Ballymoney store, Lidl, his prize was a party for his class – all paid for by Lidl.

Last Friday, the school tucked into a pile of goodies and there was even enough for a couple of visiting photographers to enjoy!

Zach wrote a poem about his Mum and judges at Lidl were so impressed that they aarded him a £50 voucher to spend on the party.

Needless to say the other children were delighted at the surprise gift of sweets, crisps, chocolate and drinks and principal, Alex Tanahill, was full of praise for Zach.

She was also delighted at the success of many of her pupils in the both the Speech and Drama and Music sections at the Coleraine Festival with prize winners galore.
