Clare Mullan from Loughiel is set to instruct in the first ever Zumbathon in Ballycastle in a bid to raise funds for TinyLife formerly NIMBA. TinyLife is committed to supporting parents of premature, sick and vulnerable babies.

Claretold the Times: “TinyLife can provide support for those who have experienced premature birth. TinyLife receives no government funding and relies entirely on voluntary contributions.”

Clare who has a degree in dance and a current Zumba instructor runs classes all across the North West, TinyLife is delighted to have Clare’s support. The preparation and training to participate in four hours of non stop dance is an immense personal challenge and her commitment to TinyLife is greatly appreciated.

Funds raised will help TinyLife to grow and maintain its family support service in the Northern Board Area.  Having recently appointed a family support officer for the Northern Board area we are now actively seeking to recruit family support volunteers who are prepared to offer 2 -3 hours each week supporting the families of premature and sick babies in the Northern Board area. Full training is given. Anyone interested should contact Lesley-Ann Macaulay on 02890 815050.”

Clare kicks off her Zumbathon in the Sheskburn Leisure Centre this Saturday from 12 noon – 4pm. The added bonus of having Loughiel Irish Dancing School with an interval is a welcome sight for all participants, a chance to catch your breath.

Chris & Louise McAuley with family will help Clare put the finishing touches to this event. There is no limit to places on the event, each person will participate in one 1 hour Zumba class in exchange for a donation to TinyLife, but if you want to raise sponsorship feel free to contact Chris.
