Busy week for Harriers

County Antrim Harriers were represented at both Dervock and Portaferry this week, with a ladies’ relay team out at the County Down event, and six members taking part in the Kennedy Kane McArthur Festival of Running at Dervock in North Antrim.

Marion Morrow and Lisa Barrett competed in the five-mile x 2 person relay race in Portaferry, and were well pleased on a difficult course to finish in 89:29 as fifth Female team.

On Saturday at Dervock, Lisa Montgomery and Grace Startin clocked 65:10 and 65:29 respectively in the 10k race, while Ruth Morrison finished the half-marathon in 1:48:52. Joy Chesnutt, making her club debut, was a few places back in 1:50:11.

In the marathon Jonathan Turner and Greg Hopkins came home in 4:48:33 and 5:05:09, repectively.

Meanwhile, Heather White took partin the Arrow Valley parkrun in England and was delighted to finish second female in 21:37. Closer to home, Lisa Barrett clocked 25:48 at the Waterworks Parkrun.
