Virgin Atlantic has announced its summer flights for 2021 - this is when you can book
Virgin Atlantic has announced its flight programme for summer 2021, as the airline looks ahead to restarting operations.
Where can I fly to?
Virgin Atlantic will fly to 24 destinations from Heathrow Airport next summer, but will only be using twin-engine aircraft instead of its fleet of 747 jumbo jets.
Destinations will include Barbados, Delhi, Havana, Las Vegas, New York, and Orlando.
It will also increase its recently launched route to Tel Aviv to twice daily.
Flights from Manchester Airport will go to Atlanta, Orlando, New York, Barbados and Los Angeles, while seasonal flights from Glasgow and Belfast will also be available.
As countries start to lift travel restrictions and customer demand slowly returns, the airline is expecting to “steadily increase” passenger flights in the second half of this year, with a gradual recovery through 2021.
The news comes after Boris Johnson announced on Sunday 10 May that passengers arriving in the UK will face a 14 day quarantine period.
When can I book?
Flights for summer 2021 will be available to book from Saturday 16 May.
