AMD Car Sales supports NI Air Ambulance charity

AMD Car Sales in Ballymoney have raised £1,246.39 for Air Ambulance NI by donating money from every car sold over a three-month period.

Alex McDonald from AMD Car Sales said “We understand that every day the Air Ambulance team are needed on average twice to help those with life threatening injuries.

“It’s reassuring to know that this service is there for anyone of us should we need it. 

“It felt good that each car sale was making a difference and we would like to thank everyone who supported us in doing this.”

Kerry Anderson, Head of Fundraising for the charity said, “Every day the Helicopter Emergency Medical Team provide critical care to save lives, brains and limbs.

On average, there are fourr or five patients every month in the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area that require the team.

“Without supporters like AMD Car Sales in Ballymoney we could not fly. 

“Each day requires £5,500 so this support is crucial, and we thank all those at AMD Car Sales and their customers of course too!”

Air Ambulance NI aspires to raise £2million each year to maintain this service so public donations are crucial.

The charity offers various ways to support fundraising despite the pandemic.
