Academy Old Pupils host Lions-themed barbecue event

WITH the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia just around the corner, the Ballymena Academy Old Pupils’ association is hosting a special Lions themed Spring BBQ.

The event on Friday 24th May at Eaton Park will celebrate former Lions Syd Millar, Willie John McBride and Stevie Smith, who all attended Ballymena Academy and welcome the next generation of rugby star Luke Marshall.

Guests will be able to quiz the rugby legends on their tour experiences as well as their thoughts on the 2013 squad. Compere for the evening is Ballymena Academy Principal Ronnie Hassard.

Tickets are priced at £20 and include a delicious BBQ from Jane’s Kitchen and dancing to a live band from 10pm.
