Agonising defeat for Roesiders

Limavady United suffered an agonising defeat last night in the semi-final of the WKD Intermediate Cup.

Limavady United (0) 0

Loughgall (0) 1

Evans (87mins)

This game went the same way as the previous two league encounters this season with the men from Co. Armagh coming out on top.

However the score-line wasn't a true reflection of the game as the Roesiders were by far the better side.

In a game of few chances it was the Roesiders who had the best of them. Just before the half-time whistle Shane Jenning's header rebounded off the crossbar from Ciaran Clarke's corner.

They did have another great chance in stoppage time but Mark Robinson denied Paul Owens from close range.

The game's only goal came in the 87th minute when a long ball into the Limavady penalty area was only partially cleared and Ryan Evans was on hand to fire the ball home
