‘Ally Pally’ for Colin

Larne Premier Darts League’s Colin McGarry travelled to the Citywest Hotel in Dublin on Sunday where and qualified for the PDC World Championship.

The Lumford thrower beat Connie Finnan 6-4, hitting seven 180s in the process, to claim the Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay title.

It means McGarry will be off to darts’ big stage at the Alexandra Palace in December.

He last competed in the World Championship 10 years ago at the Circus Tavern where he defeated Rory Orvis and Mark Holden before losing out to Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.
