Meanhile Rachael is seeded No1 ahead of Abbygael Harris in the Gold Star singles.

The Alpha pair are no strangers to the Gold series of competitions as it gives them an opportunity to gauge how they are faring against England’s top players within their age group.

It was particularly important for Rachael to get some competition under her belt before travelling to the Leigh event, having missed four competitions.

Her recent performance, particularly in winning the singles – defeating Niamh Gannon - will have been a major boost to her confidence.

Meanwhile. Rebecca’s form has been excellent recently and she will be much more confident going into the competition in Lancashire this weekend.
