Amateurs to host trials for youth sides

DROMORE Amateurs Youth FC are holding trials for young players aspiring to play football for a forward-thinking, progressive and friendly club.

The club fields teams in a number of leagues at age-groups from eight years old and up. Each team has IFA qualified coaches and as your child's safety is paramount all are trained in child protection, are Access NI assessed and have relevant first-aid training.

As an ambitious club we are keen to encourage new talent to join up with our already competitive squads and all children with a desire to train on weeknights and play matches on Saturday mornings will be very welcome to come along to demonstrate their enthusiasm and ability.

The trials will take place at Dromore's Ferris Park Astroturf facility and the trial dates are arranged by year of birth and are as follows:

Tuesday 8th and 15th June: boys and girls born in 2000, 2001 or 2002 and boys born in 1995 or 1996; Wednesday 9th and 16th June: boys and girls born in 1998 or 1999 and boys born in 1997.

All trials will take place between 7-8pm on the listed evenings. All prospective players should wear suitable clothing such as any football or sports kit along with training shoes.

Please note that shinguards are compulsory as without this essential piece of safety equipment your child will not be able to take part. Current squad members should attend as normal.
