American Football team to start pre-season training soon

With things starting to heat up in the NFL season, local American Football team Donegal/Derry Vipers start their pre-season training next month.

The club will be holding tryouts at the YMCA pitches on Sunday, January 10 at 10am sharp and this will be for anyone over 18-years-old who are interested.

Their season gets underway in April and dates for matches are yet to be released by the governing body IAFA.

The league will consist of ourselves the Donegal/Derry Vipers, Galway Warriors, North Dublin Pirates, Wexford Eagles & the PSNI Razorbacks.

Darren Galbraith committee member said: “Our aim this season is to compete for the league title we have the foundations of a great and dominating team and are looking to add to our ranks this coming January. We as any team want the big prize the Shamrock Bowl Ireland’s version of the Super Bowl.”
