Andrea hits her 12-hour target
ANDREA Heslip from Banbridge took part in the gruelling Energia 24-Hour race on Friday July 6 at the 8-lane Sportsplex in Bangor.
She achieved a her goal of 50 miles in 12 hours in spite of enduring 10 hours of torrential rain which took its toal on many of the competitors.
Last year Andrea, who runs for Banbridge Athletic Club, completed the 24 hour challenge covering 75 miles. A UK Athletics coach Andrea is athletics coach at Ballydown Primary School where she is works as a classroom assistant.
