Andy and Tommy reach Winter League Final

Andy Gibb and Tommy Beattie marched on to the final of the Lisburn Winter League after another scintillating display and a final hole victory last Saturday.

They got off to a great start by winning the first two holes against Robert Patterson and David Phelan. They lost the third but Andy nearly holed his tee shot at the fourth. The resulting two restored their two hole advantage.

Tommy made a sand save at the fifth for a half only to lose the sixth. They soon made amends and it was back to two when Tommy holed a six foot putt across the slope at the seventh for a par four. David had a birdie four at the eighth to leave Robert and Himself one behind on the ninth and final tee. After four good drives, nerves set in and the hole was halved in five to leave Tommy and Andy victorious.
