Anglers reel in £600 for charity

Islandderry Trout Anglers held their annual Hugh Brunty Memorial Fly Fishing Competition in aid of Macmillan Cancer Suport at Islandderry Fishery last Saturday.

The club would like to say a big thank you to all who supported the competition and to all who donated prizes and ballots. Thanks to your kind generosity £600 was raised and everyone who took part went home with a prize.

Lurgan angler Bill Johnston took first place with a three fish bag weight of 11lb10. Second was fellow Lurgan angler John Hamiliton with three fish for 10lb11 and third was Belfast angler Paddy Brunty with three fish for 10lb1.
