Archers Alan and Mark compete in Nimes

BALLYVALLY archers Alan Convery and Mark Nesbitt were two of the 1270 archers from 29 nations and four continents who took part in the 2010 Indoor World Archery Challenge's first tournament at Nimes in France, held from 22-24 January.

The world's top archers from over 23 countries, as far afield as the USA, Russia, Korea and Ireland competed side by side in recurve and compound competitions.

Both Alan and Mark enjoyed the opportunity to compete with Bejing Olympic archers and world champions and were pleased with their performance.

The Indoor World Archery Challenge is a new world class event for both men and women who shoot recurve or compound archery. The second part of the event will be held in Las Vegas later this year and Alan and Mark look forward to competing.
