ATHLETICS: Category prizes for Larne runners
Saturday proved to be a very successful outing for the Larne runners representing North Belfast Harriers at the SSE Airtricity 10-mile road race.
The three athletes involved took category prizes: David Clarke 1st MV55 (60:34) (16th); Janice Plumb 2nd FV45 (69:43), personal best and seventh lady; Carol Clarke 1st FV50 (79:54) PB.
Sean McAllister, who travelled with the Harriers, also claimed a category prize for finishing second in the MV50 in 66:17.
NBH’s Matthew McIlroy was fifth over the line in a time of 21:27 at Larne parkrun. Callum McIlroy, finished 12th and ran well, clocking 23.00. The experienced Nat Glenn was first home in 19.09.
