ATHLETICS: Clarke shows his class at Titanic 10k
Larne man Davy Clarke took part in the Titanic 10k on Sunday and showed his class by winning the Vet 55 category in 35.56.
The North Belfast Harriers athlete was over a minute faster than the second place competitor in the category.
Harriers’ times from Saturday’s Larne parkrun: 1st overall, James Brown 18:05; 3rd, Matthew McIlroy 19:54; 5th, Nat Glenn 20:17; 10th Janice Plumb 21:17; 25th Josh Montgomery.
Sixty runners completed the parkrun course on Saturday (April 9). Matthew McIlroy broke the 20-minute barrier for the first time - a brilliant achievement for someone his age.
